OpenMan Impregnates 12-year-old sister-in-law, Jailed 2 Years
A man from Mashava was slapped with a two-year jail sentence after he impregnated his 12-year-old sister-in-law.
25-year-old Passmore Saidi from Hackdale farm in Mashava had sexual intercourse with the juvenile, albeit with her consent.
He was charged with having sex with a minor as defined in Section 14 of the Criminal Law, Codification and Reform Act Chapter 9:23.
The paedophile is married to the 12-year-old’s sister who is barely out her teens (she is 17).
Commenting on the matter, Secretary in the Ministry of Information and Publicity, Ndavaningi Nick Mangwana said:
A 25-year-old Mashava man, married to a 17-year-old, gets his wife’s 12-year-old sister pregnant. He gets 2 years in prison-only. Maybe it’s high time the word “paedophile” enters our lexicon.
