The ruling ZANU and the MDC are not in talking terms with each party blaming the current situation on another.
Both the political and economic crises have been worsening lately. Workers in various sectors have been threatening to suspend their services if their concerns are not met. Their salaries have been eroded by the soaring inflation which resulted from the austerity measures the government introduced.
Analysts have projected that if the situation is left unattended, it would explode resulting in anarchy. The International Monetary Fund has projected that the economy will this year continue to plunge and would only rise sometime next year.
