Chamisa's Lawyer Not Ruling Out Foul Play In Muzarabani Car Crash
Advocate Thabani Mpofu, a top Harare lawyer told ZimLive that at this stage he does not rule out foul play after being involved in a car accident on Saturday in Muzarabani.
Advocate Mpofu and his driver were trapped for several minutes after their car, a Toyota Landcruiser pulling a trailer overturned.
The driver reportedly lost consciousness for some time, with the duo experiencing no life-threatening injuries.
Advocate Mpofu became a household name after he represented MDC leader Nelson Chamisa in his election petition last August at the Constitutional Court.
His legal jargon, “the pith” and “the fulcrum” has stayed in the minds of many people.
When asked by ZimLive if he suspected foul play in the accident, Advocate Mpofu responded:
I will exhaust my investigations and take a position very soon.
There has been a spate of road accidents recently, with outspoken Harare preacher, Talent Chiwenga sustaining injuries in a fatal car crash last week.
Only this Monday (yesterday), a top MDC official survived by the skin of his teeth after his vehicle crashed while driving on a dirt road in Plumtree.
