Kuda Mahachi Denies "I'm Better Off Being At My Honeymoon" Remark

Warriors striker, Kuda Mahachi, has denied claims that he disrespected coach Sunday Chidzambga after he allegedly said that he was better off enjoying his honeymoon than warming the bench in Egypt.

Mahachi, who has been overlooked for tonight’s clash against Uganda, got married earlier this month.

According to reports earlier today, Mahachi took to Instagram to vent his frustrations.

However, Mahachi has told Soccer24 that nothing of that sort happened. He said:

I’m not fighting with my coach, I’m happy here and nothing of that sort is happening.

I’m focused on the game, I’m ready to come off the bench and the guys who are starting are doing well, we are winning today.

Zimbabwe plays Uganda at 7 pm tonight at the Cairo International Stadium.

Meanwhile, Chidzambga has made four changes to the team that started against Egypt on Friday.

Goalkeeper, George Chigova, who was suspended for the Warriors AFCON opening encounter against Egypt, comes in for the injured Edmore Sibanda, while creative midfielder, Thabani Kamusoko has been thrust into the starting XI alongside Danny ‘Deco’ Phiri in midfield.

Kamusoko and Phiri replace the injured Marvelous Nakamba and Marshal Munetsi, who started in midfield against Egypt.

Talent Chawapiwa takes the right wing berth, pushing captain Knowledge to lead the line-up front in place of the injured Nyasha Mushekwi.

Warriors Starting 11 vs Uganda
