Opposition Leader Causes Son's Arrest For Stealing Mobile Phone

Leader of an opposition party, LEAD, Linda Masarira got her son, Kudakwashe Mhlanga (19), arrested by the police after she accused him of stealing her mobile phone, a charger and headphones worth $650.
Masarira reportedly left home with her husband for a driving licence road-test drive leaving Mhlanga at home.
On her return home, Masarira could not locate Mhlanga and her phone.
She proceeded to Marlborough Police Station where she filed a police report.
She later found Mhlanga at Greencroft Shopping Centre. After trying to escape, Mhlanga was was caught and taken to Marlborough Police Station where he was searched and was found with the stolen items.
