Inter Milan Sign Romelu Lukaku From Manchester United For £74 Million
Italian football giants, Inter Milan have reached an agreement with Manchester United to sign striker Romelu Lukaku for a fee that could rise to 80m euros (£74m).
Lukaku was the subject of a £54m bid from Inter Milan which United turned down.
The 26-year-old was fined by Manchester United after missing training on Tuesday.
Reports indicate that he had been training with former team Anderlecht in anticipation of a move to Serie A.
Lukaku’s agent, Federico Pastorello, flew to London on Wednesday and later that evening posted a photo on Instagram of them on board a private jet with the caption: “Ready to take off. Direction Milano.”
Manchester United brought Lukaku from Everton for £75 million two years.
The club has already spent £140m this summer on Harry Maguire, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Daniel James.
