Following a ruling by the High Court upholding a ban on the MDC 16 August 2019 demonstrations by police, prominent journalist, Ruvheneko speaks to MDC Vice President Tendai Biti.

There will come a time when we will say to this regime, you don’t want to dialogue with us, you don’t want people to demonstrate, what else do you want us to do?

We want to dialogue with them. 3 weeks ago, President Chamisa launched the RELOAD. And the whole essense of the RELOAD is Nelson Chamisa saying to Emmerson Mnangagwa “come let us break bread, in order to create a soft landing for our people, our people who are suffering, our people who don’t have jobs.”

So President Chamisa is waving a white flag to Emmerson Mnangagwa. Regretably, there will come a time when there will not be any flags to be waved. So to avoid an implosion, and to create a soft landing, Emmerson must understand that Nelson Chamisa is his ally. An ally of peace. An ally of sustainability.  Because this is a temporary window. This is a honeymoon and n honeymoon lasts forever.
