Some Zimbabweans have urged the United States of America to remove sanctions on Zimbabwe as a way to honour the legacy of the late former president of Zimbabwe, Robert Mugabe.
Mugabe passed on in the early hours of Friday after a prolonged stay in a hospital in Singapore.
The United States of America imposed sanctions on Zimbabwe arguing that the government of Mugabe was violating human rights. America also alleges that the sanctions are targeted on a few individuals including Mugabe and his wife.
Responding to a condolences message that the US Embassy in Harare posted on Twitter this morning, some Zimbabweans suggested that the world superpower remove sanctions on Zimbabwe. Below are some of the responses.
