Ruling ZANU PF has retained Zaka East seat after its candidate, Clemence Chiduwa, scooped 7119 votes in the by-election held on Saturday 22 September. Dereck Gudzameso of opposition MDC came at a distant second with 1518 votes followed by Clemence Chivarika (NCA) who attained only 83. The least voted was Lazarus Mubango of FreeZim Congress who got only 63 votes.
