Public Service Commission (PSC) chairman Vincent Hungwe said the payout date for all public service pensioners has been moved from 27 September to 3 October 2019. In a statement, Hungwe said:
The Public Service Commission regrets to inform all public service pensioners that we are unable to meet the scheduled Friday 27th payout date.
The change has been necessitated by the granted approval to review pensions in line with the cost of living adjustment given to serving members.
We are working flat out to finalise this process and we should be able to pay the 3rd of October 2019.
We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused and kindly ask all our members to bear with us.
