A Zim Morning Post report claims that the widow of the late former President Robert Mugabe, Grace Mugabe, on Thursday clashed with government officials when she attempted to take the body away from the Blue Roof Mansion to Zvimba for burial.
Army and police officers and officials from the Ministry of Home Affairs blocked Doves and Nyaradzo crews which were making way to leave the capital for Zvimba at Grace and the family’s instructions.
The body was set to be buried at Kutama Village on Sunday while President Emmerson Mnangagwa is in New York for the United Nations General Assembly.
The Mugabe family had initially agreed to have the body buried at the National Heroes Acre where a US$1 million mausoleum is being built.
