Bosso Diaspora Fans To Pay The New Coach

The new Highlanders coach unveiled on Friday will be paid by the legion of iBosso fans scattered around the globe Sunday News reports. Fans from the UK, the US, South Africa and Canada will reportedly make funds available to pay for the new coach during his tenure as the Highlanders gaffer. A source privy to the arrangement who spoke to the publication said:

Highlanders supporters based outside Zimbabwe told the club to look for a coach who can get us out of this situation since Mandla Mpofu had failed to achieve that. The chapters will top up whatever is coming from the NetOne sponsorship

The Dutch coach Hendrik Pieter de Jongh signed a 4-month performance contract with the Bulawayo giants. de Jongh was hired a few weeks after Madinda Ndlovu resigned in June 2019. Mandla Mpofu was the interim coach for the team in the meantime.
