First Lady Auxillia Mnangagwa was reportedly left seething with anger after her family fun day at Chipadze Stadium in Bindura on Saturday was poorly attended.
Mnangagwa allegedly spent nearly two hours ‘interrogating’ Mashonaland Central Provincial Affairs minister Monica Mavhunga and ZANU PF Mashonaland Central province chairperson, Kazembe Kazembe. Said a NewsDay source:
Mnangagwa was not happy with the attendance and she took Mavhunga and Kazembe to task for failing to mobilise supporters to her event.
She allegedly fumed as she compared her poorly attended events with those of the former First Lady Grace Mugabe which were fairly attended.
The province is said to be engulfed in power struggles along factional lines which may have been the reason for the poor attendance.
The meeting reportedly started three hours after the scheduled time and was attended mainly by schoolchildren and some bussed supporters.
