President Emmerson Mnangagwa is expected to fly to Uganda today 8 October to attend that country’s 57th Independence Day celebrations scheduled for tomorrow.
Deputy Chief Secretary to the President and Cabinet, Mr George Charamba, who is also the Presidential spokesperson, confirmed the invitation saying:
The President was invited to Uganda as a special guest to the country on their National Day.
General Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, the president of Uganda earlier this year officially opened the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair.
It was during that visit that he castigated the sanctions imposed on Zimbabwe.
