Makepekepe scored their goals through Joel Ngodzo, Kelvin Ndebele and Ronald Chitiyo while Hwange got their consolation through Ernest Gwatima.
The Green Machine now sits on 50 points, 5 points clear of second-placed FC Platinum who are on 45 points.
Highlanders’ revival gathered momentum with a 2-0 win over the WiFi Boys while The Ninjas beat the Sugar Boys 2-0.
