Passengers from Mutare and Bulawayo who want to be part of the anti-sanctions day march. can come to Harare for free since NRZ has availed free transportation from these destinations, The Herald reports.
This was revealed in a statement by NRZ which reads:
People wishing to make use of the free trains can get in touch with Station Masters at their nearest railway station for more information.
Fifteen coaches, with a capacity to accommodate 1500 passengers, have been provided for travellers from Bulawayo.
The train from Mutare will consist of 12 coaches which can carry up to 1200 passengers.
NRZ takes an active part in contributing to national activities and has in the past assisted with transport at events such as Independence Day and Heroes Day commemorations
According to the Herald, the trains will depart Mutare and Bulawayo on 24 October at 21:00 and 15:00 respectively and leave Harare after the march on 25 October at 21:30 and 20:00 respectively.
The 25th of October has been declared an Anti sanctions day by SADC and activities will be done to compel the US and the EU to remove sanctions imposed on Zimbabwe.
