The Zimbabwe Energy regulatory authority has announced that it will regulate gas prices ao ta consumers are protected from those profiteering from this unfortunate situation, the Chronicle reports.

ZERA’s Mr Mataruse spoke to the publication about the move and he said:

Its (price regulation) work in progress. When LP Gas Industry started, we decided to allow the industry to develop hence there was no control on its prices.

Now the industry has grown and that the market is bigger, we are moving in to protect consumers against exorbitant prices

ZERA has previously said they will regulate the gas when the industry grows.
