The England-based duo of Macauley Bonne and Adam Chicksen has finally received Zimbabwean passports after a long wait.
This makes the two eligible to play for the Warriors in the 2021 Afcon qualifiers against Botswana and Zambia.
Earlier this week, ZIFA communications manager Xolisani Gwesela said that the passport application forms for the two players had been submitted. He said then:
All their application papers were submitted and we are now waiting for the Registrar General’s Office to issue them the passports.
Macauley Bonne plays for English Championship side Charlton Athletic while Adam Chicksen turns out for Bolton Wanderers.
Chicksen who made his first appearance for the Warriors in March 2018, however, was dropped from the squad that will do duty in the Afcon qualifiers next week.
