A go fund me account has been set up to help raise funds for 4 girls from Mudavanhu school in Chivhu who made history by winning the national chess championship.
The gofundme link was shared by advocate Mahere who has been leading the #QueensOfChivhu movement on Twitter. The Advocate wrote:
The gofundme page for our #QueensofChivhu is finally up! 4 girls from Mudavanhu Primary School beat all schools in the country to win the National Chess Championships. They need US$5000 to go to the Africa Youth Championships. PLEASE RT & DONATE.
This comes a few days after the school wrote to the Ministry asking for wellwishers to help them raise $5000 to go to the Chess Africa Championships to be held in Namibia.
Here is the link to the gofundme page for the girls.
