The Zimbabwe Robotics team went to Dubai in the UAE and have been singing praises of the Middle East tourism destination as they got to compete with other students and experienced a different life which to put it in their own words ” never knew existed”.
The article written by a Mufakose High 1 student spoke at length about the competition first then about the city most of us dream to visit in our lifetime.
Tariro Zambasa, who was part of the team that went to Dubai for a robotics competition wrote:
We went out to tour one of the most amazing sceneries in the city, the Burj Khalifa. It is the tallest building in the world. We also visited the Atlantis Island and the hotel. It is one of the most amazing hotels in the world. We also saw the biggest screen in the world at the Dubai mall. Teammate Delight was always thrilled to see the dancing waters every night.
We had the most amazing experience ever. We believe it did not just end there. In fact, it is just the beginning of discovering ourselves and instilling in ourselves the initiative of taking risks and looking for problems to solve because there will always be problems
