Chicken Inn coach, Joseph Antipas, has blamed the fixtures pile up for his team’s 1-1 draw with relegation-threatened Hwange in a Premier Soccer League match played over the weekend.
The Gamecocks are involved in a three-horse title race with defending champions FC Platinum and Caps United. Said Antipas:
This is due to poor planning, they (PSL) are loading us with games because they want to catch up with deadlines.
Tight game, we didn’t play our usual game. I would say that the boys were exhausted. The amount of games we have been playing of late is hectic.
PSL bosses slotted two rounds of fixtures during the current football international break, with Antipas juggling his Warriors and Chicken Inn job, while his assistants, Tonderai Ndiraya and Lloyd Chitembwe having to do the same for their clubs, Dynamos and Harare City respectively.
