Man R_pes Employer's Sister To 'Recover' Unpaid Wages

A Chivi man r_ped his former employer’s sister as payment for his outstanding wages.

Solomon Chikono, (25), of Mavuto Village, Headman Watungwa, Chief Chivi, was sentenced to 18 years imprisonment by Masvingo regional magistrate Dambudzo Malunga.

Chikono had has previous r_pe convictions. He was convicted on his own plea of guilty on r_pe charges.

He r_ped his victim twice on the same night with each of the two counts attracting a sentence of nine years, with six months suspended for each count.

He will, however, serve an effective 16 years and six months after a further two years of the total sentence were conditionally suspended for five years.
