Samantha Mtukudzi, the daughter of the late musician and national hero Oliver Mtukudzi, has divorced former Warriors midfielder Tinashe Nengomasha.
In her divorce papers filed at the High Court, Samantha stated that the relationship had irretrievably broken down and that there are no prospects of restoration of a normal marriage relationship. She said:
There are no prospects of restoration of a normal marriage relationship, more particularly in that: the parties have lost love and affection for each other, the parties have not lived together as husband and wife for a continuous period exceeding 24 months.
It would be fair and equitable, in the event that this honourable court grants a decree of divorce, that the immovable property be sold and the proceeds are divided with each party being awarded 50 per cent of the net proceeds. Either party would be free to buy the other out …
The couple tied the knot eight years ago under the Marriage Act (Chapter 5:11) and they have two children.
Meanwhile, Nengomasha has not yet responded to the divorce summons.
