The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has refuted social media reports that there was a demonstration by police officers at the Support Unit Headquarters.
In a statement on Friday morning, the Police warned members of the public that those responsible for causing disharmony in the Police Service will have no one but themselves to blame if detected. The statement reads:
The ZRP dismisses social media articles especially on WhatsApp and twitter which are being attributed to COZWVA that there was a demonstration at Support Unit HQ by police officers. That is false.
Members of the public are warned against trying to cause division and disharmony in the Police Service. Those responsible will only have themselves to blame if detected.
