Newly-crowned 2019 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League Soccer Star of the Year, Joel “Josta” Ngodzo received $12 000 as prize money.
Ngodzo expressed gratitude to his Caps United teammates, club president and the supporters. He said:
I want to thank Caps United ( for treating me good after I had left Highlanders).
This trophy is for my teammates (because their contribution has made me win this award).
I was not working alone. And I want to thank our coaches, supporters and the president of the team.
Ngodzo played for FC Platinum and Highlanders before signing for the Green Machine.
Meanwhile, Ralph Kawondera (Triangle FC), came second while Highlanders striker Prince Dube came in 3rd.
