"If There's A Crime Here, It's ZACC's Shocking Involvement," Jonathan Moyo On Marry Chiwenga Charge Sheet
Exiled former Cabinet Minister, Professor Jonathan Moyo has said that the “involvement” of the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission in the matter of Marry Chiwenga nee Mubaiwa, the estranged wife of Vice President Constantino Chiwenga, was bad for the commission’s image.
Responding to Zim Live tweet which revealed Marry’s charge sheet, Moyo said:
If there’s a crime here it’s @ZACConline‘s shocking involvement. #ZACC‘s nauseating involvement is the straw that will break the camel’s back not least because it smacks of the kind of corruption that stinks to the high heavens. The assured outcome is irreparable damage to #ZACC!
FeedbackThe former model is facing several charges including the externalisation of thousands and thousands of United States dollars.
Some observers have however argued that the revelation was just a tip of the iceberg as prominent government officials including “Chiwenga and President Emmerson Mnangagwa” are doing greater than Marry is doing.
According to Afrobarometer, corruption in Zimbabwe has been on the rise and the country is ranked amongst the countries with the highest corruption in the world something which is said to have robbed the country of a huge chance to develop into a first world-class.
