Manchester City head coach, Pep Guardiola has revealed that he expects his assistant and compatriot, Mikel Arteta to be appointed Arsenal head coach soon.
Guardiola is also said to be uncomfortable with the developments as he wants Arteta to stay adding however that even the club can do anything to stop him from rejoining Arsenal. He added:
All I can say from what I’m concerned is that Mikel was clear with me and that’s all. Perhaps there is a problem with the chairmen and the CEOs – (but) they have to talk to each other.
His remarks come after reports suggested that City was angered after pictures emerged of Arsenal chief executive Vinai Venkatesham and club lawyer Huss Fahmy leaving Arteta’s house in the early hours of Monday morning.
Arsenal dismissed head coach, Unai Emery recently over unconvincing results since the start of the season.
The Gunners are currently at number 10 on the English Premier League log with 22 points in 17 games.
Arteta, a former Arsenal captain is expected to lead the team to Everton on Saturday if talks reportedly underway result in both parties agreeing to the alleged three and half years deal.
