MDC president Nelson Chamisa‘s spokesperson, Nkululeko Sibanda, said President Emmerson Mnangagwa is “dreaming” if he believes that the opposition party will join the Political Actors Dialogue (POLAD).
Sibanda said that the whole world is aware that there is no meaningful dialogue taking place at POLAD.
He (Mnangagwa) is dreaming. If he wants to believe what he wants, let him believe it.
It is delusional to think that there is dialogue at POLAD and the rest of the world is seeing that and we hope they will wake up to that reality.
On Saturday, President Mnangagwa told journalists in Harare that he will not entertain dialogue with opposition political parties outside the POLAD platform.
Turning to former South African President Thabo Mbeki’s recent visit to the country, Mnangagwa said the former never pushed for direct talks between him and Chamisa.
