South African-based Warriors forward, Ovidy Karuru, has completed a move to Stellenbosch following his recent release from Amazulu.
Stellies head coach Steve Barker confirmed to KickOff.com that Karuru has indeed signed for the club, but refused to reveal the length of the contract. He said:
That’s correct, but I’m not divulging the length of his contract. Once he was released and terminated his contract with AmaZulu, we moved to get a deal done.
The former Kaizer Chiefs star was about to enter the final six months of his contract with the KwaZulu-Natal outfit before they parted company by mutual agreement.
Karuru earlier told Harare tabloid, H-Metro that he was not offloaded by Amazulu but that he decided to leave the club after he had received a good offer from Stellenbosch.
