A group of Machete-wielding gold panners known as Mashurugwi a day before yesterday attacked and killed a gold buyer in Mvuma, Mining Zimbabwe reports.
The buyer, Marko Dube, who was popular in Mvuma was seen by an informant, who said the incident happened at a bush 100 meters from his home, being attacked by 3 people with machetes who then searched him and fled. The informant helped the buyer and made a report to the police who went to investigate the matter at the crime scene only to find the buyer dead.
The thieves got away with US$700 and a cellphone, the buyer’s body was ferried to Mvuma Hospital Mortuary.
