Katsande Named As One of Kaizer Chiefs' "Core" Players, Billiat Overlooked

Kaizer Chiefs coach Ernst Middendorp said he has a core group of players but admitted that all players are ready to do the job when called upon.

Middendorp identified Mathoho, Daniel Cardoso, Maluleka, Willard Katsande, Castro and Nurković as the core of the team. He said:

We have a core team if look at it this way – with Mathoho and Cardoso at the back, Maluleka and Katsande in the midfield, Castro and Nurković upfront and other players make a core of the team.

The German tactician made the remarks following a convincing 3-0 victory over Highlanders Park that took them six points clear at the top of the table.

Chiefs face Cape Town City on Sunday afternoon looking to solidify their position at the apex of the log standings.
