The Prime Minister of Lesotho’s wife is going to be arrested after an arrest warrant was issued after she failed to turn up for questioning in a murder investigation. Mrs Thabane is wanted for questioning in the murder of her husband’s first wife.
Maesaiah Thabane, the current first lady, was summoned for questioning on Friday to “shed some light into the ongoing investigations into the June 2017 murder of Lipolelo Thabane who was gunned down near Maseru days before her husband’s inauguration.
Mrs Thabane could not be found when law enforcement officers visited her home which resulted in the arrest warrant being issued.
