Lesotho Prime Minister Tom Thabane yesterday announced his intention to leave the office SABC News reports.
This might be linked to the 80-year old’s wife who is reportedly on the run after a warrant of arrest was issued for her after she failed to turn up for questioning. However, according to analysts, there are many underlying reasons why Thabane might want to retire 2 years after he took office.
Mrs Thabane is wanted for questioning in the murder of Thabane’s first wife who was gunned down just outside Maseru in June 2017.
Sophie Mokoena discussed the issue of Thabane’s impending resignation in this video posted by SABC.
