The MDC-T President, Thokozani Khupe, was reportedly shocked and saddened by the party’s former Vice President Obert Gutu’s resignation yesterday, New Zimbabwe reports.
Khupe’s reaction was communicated by the party’s spokesperson Khaliphani Phugeni to New Zimbabwe. Khupe reportedly said:
I received with shock and sadness the resignation of my Vice President. Over the years, he has been my greatest support both personally and politically. I will surely miss him.
FeedbackI do appreciate that he needs to concentrate on his personal and business interests. I do hope, however, that l and the party can continue to rely on his political and strategic advice. I wish him well in his future endeavours.
Meanwhile, Gutu denied allegations that he was going to join Zanu PF to the same publication and called the allegations makuhwa (grapevine).
