The Ministry of Lands Agriculture, Water, Climate and Rural Resettlement has notified former ZANU PF political commissar Saviour Kasukwere of its intention to take back his farm for “downsizing and replanning purposes.”
The development comes a few weeks after reports suggested that the state was also taking back the land belonging to Patrick Zhuwao, Jonathan Moyo and Daniel Shumba, all former ZANU PF members.
This prompted others to conclude that the state is going after former President Mugabe’s allies continue and that land in Zimbabwe is being used as a political tool and not as a resource for production, economic recovery and growth.
