Mohadi Takes Over As Acting President From Chiwenga
Vice President Kembo Mohadi on Wednesday morning took over as the Acting President from Constantino Chiwenga, with the latter reverting to his role as Vice President.
This was revealed by Deputy Chief Secretary to the President and Cabinet (Presidential Communications) George Charamba through his Twitter handle @Jamwanda2. Said Charamba:
STARTING THIS MORNING, Vice President Kembo D. Mohadi takes over as ACTING PRESIDENT until end of the month when His Excellency the President, Cde E.D. Mnangagwa resumes State Duties after a year-end break. Dr Chiwenga reverts to his role as Vice President.
FeedbackPresident Emmerson Mnangagwa commenced his annual vacation around the 8th of January this year leaving Chiwenga as the Acting President.
It was announced then, that the two Vice Presidents will act in Mnangagwa’s capacity on a rotational basis.
