Shame On You - Twimbos To Malawi Endorsing Rigged Elections SADC
SADC has received a backlash from Zimbabweans on twitter after they declared Malawi elections free and fair. Malawian courts said the elections were rigged and they have subsequently nullified the elections and have ordered Malawi to hold fresh elections.
Twimbos have however expressed their displeasure at SADC which was quick to endorse the elections last year.
Twimbos were responding to SADC’s Dr Tax who had tweeted and tagged President Mnangagwa in her post:
In light of #Malawi Constitutional Court judgement on May 2019 elections, #SADC applauds the people of Malawi for having faith in the judiciary, & for respecting the rule of law. #SADC calls on all to remain calm, & for preparations for the #elections to commence @edmnangagwa
Twimbos responded:
Please don’t be involved again in Malawi leave them to do their elections their institutions are stronger than SADC. That @edmnangagwa you are tagging stole elections from @nelsonchamisa
What about your SADC election observer report that say elections were conducted fairly and professionally. That’s a total disgrace.

You must be ashamed of yourself. You hurriedly endorsed this fraud and said MEC followed the electoral laws and the Constitution. Now without apologising, you want to appear you side with citizens while you are the defender of dictators in the region. Shame on @SADC_News & AU

Unfortunately, the SADC election observer mission did what they do best: heard no evil, saw no evil. Are u not ashamed that SADC endorsed an election with so many glaring violations of the electoral process?
