FC Platinum (FCP) coach Lizwe Sweswe is rumoured to be a Caps United target for the head coach’s role.
Sweswe was an assistant to Norman Mapeza, who dumped the club towards the end of last season and is now at South Africa side Chippa United.
Following Mapeza’s departure, Sweswe took over the reins and led the club to another Premier League title on the final day of the season having trailed Caps United for much of the campaign.
However, FCP appointed former Highlanders coach Hendriek Pieter De Jong at the beginning of this year, relegating Sweswe to the role of assistant coach.
H-Metro quotes its source as having said:
Sweswe is going to CAPS United. After what he did with FC Platinum last season seems to have impressed CAPS.
They want him. He is believed to be coming in as the head coach.
Dodo will still be there as his assistant.
