Political Actors Dialogue (POLAD) forum members have refuted claims by the Zimbabwe Independent, a local publication that they are set to spend US$4.5 million on the re-engagement drive.
The allegations attracted the wrath of many Zimbabweans including the <a href="https://news.pindula.co.zw/2020/02/07/full-text-polad-members-to-spend-millions-of-us-dollars-on-a-purported-international-re-engagement-drive/">opposition MDC led by Nelson Chamisa which described the alleged planned tour as a misplaced priority</a> considering that the country has an acute foreign currency deficit.
