Police Speak On Video Of Unidentified Men Ransacking A Parked Car

The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) says it is aware of a video that is circulating on social media where some unidentified men were filmed stealing from a vehicle.

In a statement posted on Twitter, ZRP urged motorists to park their motor vehicles in secure places and to avoid leaving valuables inside cars. The statement read:

The ZRP is aware of a video that is circulating on social media where some unidentified males are seen stealing from an unlocked motor vehicle at a service station. This is purely a case of theft from motor vehicle and not a carjacking.

We continue to encourage motorists to park their motor vehicles in secure places. Doors and windows must be closed and locked and where possible, vehicles should be fitted with alarm and anti-hijack systems.

Valuables such as cash, laptops, cellphones and firearms must not be left in vehicles. Insecure firearms are being stolen and used to commit armed robberies. #let’bealert.
