Sundowns' Gaston Sirino Found Guilty Of Assaulting Supersport Players
The South Africa Premier Soccer League has found Mamelodi Sundowns FC player Gaston Sirino guilty of assaulting SuperSport United players Clayton Daniels and Dean Furman during the MTN8 fixture on 18 September 2019.
A statement posted on the PSL’s official Twitter handle on Thursday evening read:
The PSL Disciplinary Committee has found Mamelodi Sundowns player Gaston Sirino guilty of assaulting SuperSport United players Clayton Daniels and Dean Furman during the MTN8 fixture on 18 September 2019.
FeedbackThe matter had been postponed a few times after requests from both Sirino and Mamelodi Sundowns.
Mamelodi Sundowns FC have similarly been found guilty of bringing the League into disrepute.
Sanctions will be finalized after submission of representations by the parties.
