The President has fired suspended Zanu PF youth league Godfrey Tsenengamu New Zimbabwe reports. Tsenengamu was fired this afternoon after a politburo meeting.
According to the publication:
Tsenengamu was fired after Wednesday’s during the party’s Politburo meeting held at the party’s headquarters in Harare and chaired by President Emmerson Mnangagwa.
“Expelled,” posted Tsenengamu on his Facebook page soon after the ruling.
A statement released by Obert Mpofu over the sacking of Tsenengamu reads:
A unanimous resolution was passed today by the Politburo on the 4th of March 2020 at the 337th ordinary session of the Politburo that the former youth secretary for Commissariat Godfrey Tsenengamu be expelled with immediate effect due to his intransigence and continued disparaging of senior party members
Tsengengamu was suspended last month for naming and shaming corrupt businessmen who he said were wreaking havoc in the economy.
