The City of Bulawayo will exempt suburbs surrounding Barbourfields Stadium and ZITF grounds from water rationing in the wake of the annual trade fair and the country’s 40th independence celebrations to be held in succession in the city of Kings, The Chronicle reports.
This was confirmed by BCC’s senior public relations officer Mrs Nesisa Mpofu who said:
Water shedding will be suspended in and around these two venues so that visitors are not inconvenienced
However, the city will maintain the 96-hour water ration schedule for all other areas.
