US Govt Targets CIO Minister, August 1 Commander Assets As Pair Is Sanctioned
The United States’ Department of the Treasury has updated its sanctions list on Zimbabwe, with some senior government officials being added while others were removed.
While the late former ZANU PF bigwig, Shuvai Mahofa and former Mashonaland East chairperson Ray Kauonde were among those struck off the list, Minister of State Security Owen Ncube and the Commander of August 1, 2018, killings in central Harare, retired Lieutenant General Anselem Nhamo Sanyatwe have been added.
In a press release earlier on Wednesday, the Department of the Treasury said:

KAUKONDE, Ray Joseph, Private Bag 7706, Causeway, Harare, Zimbabwe; DOB 04 Mar 1963; Mashonaland East Provincial Governor (individual) [ZIMBABWE].
