Zimbabweans have been informed that the April national Clean-up exercise shall be conducted at a household level due to the 21-day lockdown that is in place to stop the spread of the novel coronavirus.
President Emmerson Mnangagwa last year declared that the national clean-up campaign will be held on the first Friday of each month.
Posting on Twitter, State-run radio station, StarFM said:
April National Clean-up exercise to be conducted at household level amid the #Covid19 pandemic. Residents being urged to clean their backyards and prioritise separation of waste. The exercise is done on the first Friday of each month.
The 21-day lockdown confined citizens to their homes and security personnel were authorised to arrest those who are found violating the decree.
