ED Concerned About The Spike In COVID-19 Cases
President Emmerson Mnangagwa while launching the Ministry Of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting services call centre donated by Insscor Africa and Liquid Telecom said the spike in COVID-19 cases in Zimbabwe is worrisome, The Herald reports.
Speaking at the launch event of the call centre, the president expressed concern over the increase in number of COVID-19 patients by saying:
It (Covid-19) has just begun to attack Zimbabwe and the spike is beginning to show an upward trend in our country. Yes, we have introduced a lockdown some two weeks ago but we are realising now that the pandemic is now more serious than at the time we introduced the lockdown
