Global Coronavirus Deaths Surpass 150 000 Mark, US Records 4376 Deaths In 1 Day
The novel coronavirus pandemic has rapidly spread across the world leaving 150 000 people dead while more than 2 million have tested positive for the virus.
It took 83 days for the first 50,000 deaths to be recorded and just eight more for the toll to climb to 100,000. It took another eight days to go from 100,000 to 150,000.
According to Worldometers.info, global registered coronavirus cases as at April 18, 2020, 06:27 GMT, stood at 2,251,817 including 154 311 deaths and 574,398 recoveries.
Meanwhile, the United States recorded an additional 4,376 probable coronavirus deaths bringing the total number of deaths to 37,308 in that country.
Zimbabwe has s at 17 April 2020 officially reported 24 coronavirus cases, including three (3) deaths.
