Returnees From UK Quarantined At Belvedere College Yet To Receive Coronavirus Test Results - REPORT
Zimbabwean citizens who returned from the United Kingdom on Monday and are housed at Belvedere Technical Teachers’ College have claimed that they are yet to be given their test results for coronavirus.
They also claim that they were given buckets for water today which is confirmation that there is no running water at the institution.
Brezh Malaba, a journalist who has been closely following the matter posted on Twitter on Thursday and said:
Something is not right. You quarantine people on Monday, but only check their temperature on Thursday. What is worse, still no test results. Meanwhile, I notice spin doctors continue claiming there’s running water inside those hostels. In fact, folks were given buckets today.
Ironically, The Herald, a State-run publication claimed on Thursday morning that two of the returnees have tested positive for the virus.
This is puzzling considering that the returnees are claiming that they are sharing bathrooms. Moreover, Health authorities have previously been taking those who would have tested positive to health institutions designated for infectious diseases.
Some believe a lot is going on behind the scenes and whatever is happening, it is working against the government which is accused of concealing information on coronavirus.
