Controversial Information Deputy Minister Energy Mutodi has taken a jibe at doctors in Zimbabwe and said by now they should have known how to treat the deadly coronavirus that has killed over 210 000 people worldwide.
Mutodi tweeted his controversial sentiments and asked where Peter Magombeyi was:
By now we should have a clue how to treat the COVID-19 flue from our own local doctors. We certainly don’t want them to appear like mere nurses administering Western-made medicines. It doesn’t give a good picture of them. Where is Peter Magombeyi?
Mutodi was attacked by other twimbos who reminded him Peter Magombeyi was a doctor, not a scientist but Mutodi stood his ground and said:
So you are telling me Magombeyi is just a nurse waiting for epidemiologists to discover medicines? He is clueless on epidemiology himself?
The Goromonzi South legislator is known to make controversial statements on Twitter including saying Ndebele people were not Zimbabweans and blaming “dog-eating” Chinese people for COVID-19.
