Popular dancehall musician Killer T(real name Kelvin Kusikwenyu)’s foundation has reportedly mobilised funds to buy food for the elderly in Mbare, The Herald reports. The foundation raised enough money to buy groceries that were disbursed to 500 elderly people in Mbare yesterday.
Speaking about the campaign, Killer T said this to the publication:
I grew up in Mbare and I witnessed what some of these disadvantaged elderly people go through. Most of them are raising their orphaned grandchildren and they struggle to make ends meet.
We know we did not give them enough but those 10kgs of roller meal and two litres of cooking oil are just tokens of appreciation. We hope to do better when we mobilise more resources.
Moving forward Killer T said he wants his foundation to help orphans in the society.
